FINALISED plans for a major housing development on the lower slopes of the Eildons have been submitted with the local authority.
Rural Renaissance Ltd want to develop a 6.3 acre site next to Dingleton Road in Melrose.
Initial proposals for 46 properties have been reduced to 26 detached and semi-detached three-, four-, and five-bedroom houses following a public consultation exercise and meetings with Scottish Borders Council's planners.
The full application includes a new access across the Muirhouse Burn as well as new roadways and landscaping.
All of the new properties will be built around The Croft, which currently operates as a children's nursery.
The full application will be considered by Scottish Borders Council over the coming months.
