A 29-year-old man who admitted a drug dealing charge will be sentenced next month at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Simon Hamilton pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine at his home in Burns Road, Hawick, between December and July.
Sheriff Peter Paterson told him it was a serious matter and a custodial sentence was uppermost in the court's mind.
He deferred sentence until November 27 for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment.
