EXTRA carriages will be added to trains on the Borders Railway this Saturday for rugby fans heading to Murrayfield.

Scotland's Autumn Test match against Fiji kicks off at 2.30pm and ScotRail has decided to provide more seats on a number of services, including on the Tweedbank to Edinburgh line.

Queuing systems will be in place at Haymarket after the final whistle, while the company says extra staff will be on hand to assist customers.

Alcohol bans will be in force.

ScotRail head of customer operations Phil Campbell said: "The Autumn Tests are very popular and we have done everything we can to boost the number of seats on key routes in and out of Edinburgh.

"Our services will be very busy so people should plan their journeys in advance, check train times regularly, and make sure they have a ticket before travel."
