DRIVERS on the A7 are being warned to expect major delays following a crash between Hawick and Langholm.
The carriageway near to Kirkstile is closed in both directions and emergency services are at the scene.
A lorry and a bus collided on a bridge just after noon and attempts are being made to clear the wreckage to prevent the need for a 100-mile diversion route.
A spokesman for Police Scotland told us: "We are doing everything we can to clear the carriageway and prevent having to put a lengthy diversion in place."
Latest from the scene is that traffic is queuing heavily in both directions.
