DETECTIVES have arrested three men in connection with a reported gun incident on Monday.
Officers closed off a road next to the A1 in East Lothian on Monday following an incident at Strawbery Corner.
One man who was at the scene reported that two white Ford Transit vans had crashed near a recycling centre, with a suggestion that men carrying knives and a gun ran off.
And reports of gunfire were also reported to police.
As we reported, police broadened their search throughout yesterday into the Berwickshire village of Cockburnspath.
Last night officers arrested a 30-year-old, 25-year-old and 17-year-old in connection with the original disturbance.
The slip road of the A1 was also reopened.
Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and officers will continue to patrol the areas involved.
Anyone with information, or relevant dash-cam footage, should contact police immediately.
