POLICE seized around £300 worth of cocaine on the streets of Galashiels at the weekend.
Officers taking part in Operation Concentrate carried out stop and searches during Saturday.
A number of people have also been reported for various anti-social behaviour offences, including a breach of the peace.
And a driver was issued with an ASBO warning for motoring offences.
Police Constable Ashely Black of Galashiels Police Station said: “We will not tolerate this kind of anti-social behaviour. We are committed to making communities in the area safer.
“Operation Concentrate is an opportunity for us to address local issues and to ask the public to report any information relating to anti-social behaviour and drugs to Police Scotland.
“Anyone with information relating to these kinds of crime can contact Police Scotland on 101 or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
