POLICE have re-opened the A6091 Melrose Bypass following an incident during the early hours of this morning.
It is understood a driver crashed at around 2.40am after taking unwell behind the wheel close to the Tweedbank roundabout.
The man was transferred to Borders General Hospital and the vehicle later removed.
The road re-opened just after 6.30am.
A spokesman for Police Scotland told us: "The driver is reacting well to treatment at Borders General Hospital.
"There were no other vehicles or people involved in the incident."
