SANTA decided to bring some seasonal cheer to Galashiels last week with his own pop-up grotto.
Despite having a busy schedule throughout December Father Christmas accepted the invitation from Energise Galashiels to drop by on both Saturday and Sunday.
And going by the amount of Ho, Ho, Hos and the length of the queues, the Grotto was a welcome addition to the town centre.
Emily McGowan from Energise Galashiels Trust said: “Christmas is such a magical time for children but perhaps less so for parents, with significant financial commitments to consider.
"Energise Galashiels Trust wanted to not only give the children and opportunity to meet Santa but also to help parents by providing the Santa’s Grotto for free.”
The converted retail premises attracted over 150 children throughout Saturday and Sunday.
As well as a gift from Santa, the children also received free fruit from the little helpers at Asda.
