A GALASHIELS man will stand trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court accused of spitting on a police office's face and body.
Jay Hope denies the offence which is said to have happened at his home in Hawthorn Road, on September 10.
The 39-year-old also pleaded not guilty to shouting and swearing and making abusive and offensive comments and struggling with police.
A trial date was fixed for March 26 with an intermediate hearing on March 11.
