A 54-year-old woman has been accused of passing counterfeit Bank of England notes at two premises in Kelso.
Pauline Miller of Falside Cottages, Chesters, near Hawick, denies handing over counterfeit £20 notes to the value of £300 at Cheviot Vets in Kelso, on January 25 last year.
On the same day she is alleged to have handed over £60 worth of counterfeit Bank of England £20 notes at Country Corner in Spylaw Road.
A trial date has been fixed for March 5 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court with an intermediate hearing on February 18.
