27-year-old denies assault to severe injury in Galashiels
A GALASHIELS man denies a charge of assaulting a man to his severe injury.
Samuel Wightman of Plumtree Place pleaded not guilty to striking the man on the head causing him to lose conciousness in a flat in Overhaugh Street, Galashiels, on January 27 last year.
The 27-year-old's case was continued at Jedburgh Sheriff Court until February 4.
