A 41-year-old man has appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court accused of six bogus-builder fraud offences.
Peter Coyle of Market Street, Duns, also faces a seventh charge of theft.
The offences are alleged to have been committed at various locations in the Borders between January 1, 2018, and June 30.
He made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.
Coyle was released on bail by Sheriff Andrew Ferguson with conditions.
