A LANDMARK cafe at the southern entrance to Selkirk is being lined up for demolition.
Fletcher's cafe, which originally opened as a Little Chef in the 1970s, closed last weekend.
The popular stop for motorists and locals has operated under various names over the past 40 years.
But community councillors were told this week that it won't be reopening.
Councillor Ian King said: "Fletcher's is to be demolished and we will soon be considering a planning application for a private dwelling to go in its place."
