A SCHOOL'S Twitter account has been de-activated apparently due to tweets that were deemed "unsupportive" by the council.
Parents at Thomas Muir Primary in Bishopbriggs took to social media to question why the account had been suspended and were said to have been advised not to show children the posts.
A spokeswoman for East Dunbartonshire Council said it is investigating online activity that was "unsupportive" of the school but did not give further details.

Depute Chief Executive, Education, People & Business, Ann Davie, said: "In line with the Council's social media policy, the twitter account at Thomas Muir Primary School has been suspended in order to investigate activity unsupportive of the school.
"We hope to have the school's twitter account back up and running next week."
