AN Edinburgh-bound EasyJet flight declared an emergency over Galashiels this afternoon.
Fight EZY3385 from Venice was preparing to land when a cabin crew member fell ill.
The plane landed in the capital at around 1pm, close to when it was originally scheduled to arrive.
A spokesperson said: "EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY3385 from Venice to Edinburgh requested an expedited landing into Edinburgh due to a cabin crew member being taken unwell during landing.
“Paramedics met the aircraft on arrival and assisted.
“The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is EasyJet’s highest priority.”
