A TOURIST who was killed in Benidorm during the early hours of Friday morning has been named as Hawick man Jim Clark.
Reports from the Spanish resort state the 33-year-old died after a fight broke out in a bar.
Police are now hunting for two English men in connection with the death.
It is understood Mr Clark had travelled to Spain as part of a stag party.
A spokesman for the Spanish Police said: “We received an emergency call at around 3.15am on Friday.
“Police were mobilised and arrived at the scene to find two people trying to assist another who was lying on the ground.
“He was confirmed dead shortly afterwards.
“What we know at the moment from witnesses is that there had been a fight moments earlier, apparently between British nationals who were on holiday like the dead man who was also a tourist.”
Officers are awaiting results from an autopsy to determine whether Mr Clark was struck by an object or if he hit his head during a fall.
