DROPPING a bottle of alcohol he was carrying resulted resulted in a 32-year-old man losing his temper and sparking a disturbance in Selkirk town centre.
Brian Chilcott fell over as he kicked the broken glass and ended up cutting his arm.
However, as people living in West Port and an ambulance crew tried to provide assistance at around 10pm on Tuesday, December 11, Chilcott began lashing out with his arms.
Selkirk Sheriff Court heard he fell over several times and was banging the bonnet of a car which had stopped.
Graham Fraser, prosecuting, said: "He challenged people to fight including one of the ambulance staff."
Chilcott of Hill Street, Selkirk, had sentence deferred until May 7 for good behaviour.
