AN appeal has been launched after a tree stump was set on fire at the Gala Policies.
The incident happened at around 7pm on Monday, March 25.
Police Scotland are asking anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson said: "Were you on Livingstone Place Galashiels near the swimming pool around 7pm to 7.30pm on Monday?
"Did you see or hear anything suspicious?
"If you have any information that can assist our enquiries please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 3669 of March 25.
"Alternatively If you have any information about this, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org"
