TweedLove’s award winning bike festival in Peeblesshire has announced the new line-up of events for June 2019.

The festival is running for the tenth year under the new name of Transcend Bike Festival, and it comes with new partnerships and a new location.

The three-day event will run over the weekend, starting on June 7 in the Tweed Valley.

Event director Neil Dalgleish said: “TweedLove has been celebrating the cycling scene here for 10 years, and Transcend should do that bigger and better than ever.

“We can’t wait to welcome bike people from all over the UK and beyond to share an epic weekend of Tweed Valley good times with us.”

TweedLove has teamed up with Tempest Brewing Co and Adrenalin Uplift to deliver a festival that will include bike events and racing, expo, demo, live music, a food village, and Tempest’s beerfest bar.

Transcend Epic is a brand-new event coming to the festival for a two-day, multi venue enduro adventure.

The event already sold out, but riders still have options to choose from with three further enduro races, Transcenduro, Transcenduro Boost and Enjoyro.

Transcenduro will be one of the biggest enduro races of the year, with the likes of EWS riders Lewis Buchanan, Mark Scott, Ruaridh Cunningham, Bex Baraona and Katy Winton battling it out.

On Sunday, Transcenduro Boost will be a shorter version of the main race, and Enjoyro is already proving popular as an entry level enduro and with younger riders.

This year’s festival features a gravel event, Bergamont Gritopia, on Saturday, sessions with local MTB tuition providers Ridelines all weekend, a guided history ride with Swift Trails on Friday, and a Pumptrack championship.

Kids will have their own mini bike festival with the Frog Bikes Kids Adventure Zone and the free GO e-bike Family Ride which will take riders along the Tweed Valley Railway Path.

TweedLove has had the UK’s biggest MTB demo event for the last couple of years, and at Transcend festival-goers will have the chance to test bikes from Canyon, Cube, Nukeproof, Bergamont, Santa Cruz, Scott, Frog Bikes, etc., with a total of 250 bikes available.
