A STUNNING new exhibition, The Borders and Beyond, by photographer Michael A Fitch opens in the Robson Gallery at Halliwell’s House Museum and Gallery in Selkirk next month.

Michael, who is an international multi-award-winning photographer, will display photographs taken prior to him moving to Scotland in 2014, as well as the captivating images he created after he discovered the beauty of the Borders.

Originally from America, Michael has now retired to Selkirk where he is the owner of Hainingside Gallery.

He told us: “Capturing a moment in time and the feeling that goes with the image is an incredible joy."

The exhibition runs from Saturday, May 18 to Sunday, July 7 at Halliwell’s House Museum and Gallery.

Admission is free, although donations to the charity are welcome.

Phoebe Stewart, assistant curator for promoters Live Borders, told us: “We can’t wait to see Michael’s incredible work showcased at Halliwell’s House.

"His work really captures the beauty of nature in the Borders.

"As a charity, we value the ability to showcase this award-winning photographer and bring his work to Selkirk."

Halliwell’s House Museum and Gallery is open between 11am and 4pm from Monday to Saturday as well as 12noon to 3pm on Sundays.
