ONE of the biggest quizzes to ever take place in the Scottish Borders has now raised well over £40,000 for charity since it began.
The Big Quiz this year saw over 230 people cram into the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels, with over £3,000 generated on the night for Prostate Scotland charity.
This year's winners were The Brownlees who won by half a point from Gin’ll Fix It, followed by #thatsjustrude in third place.
The event is now in its eighth year, and has been organised each time by Lucy McAneny in memory of her father, Duncan Paterson who passed away a decade ago.
Lucy said: “A huge thank you once again to all who helped in advance and on the night, as well as all the teams who entered and have now helped raise over £40,000 for Prostate Scotland which is an excellent charity which is close to the hearts of our family.
“We look forward to seeing you all again in 2020.”
