A Fountainhall man forced entry to a house in Ormiston, East Lothian before he ripped a pair of curtains from the wall of the property.
Craig Inglis, of Old Stage Road, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by turning up at the home in the village’s Stanley Place and repeatedly banging on the front door.
He then gained entry and tore down the curtains during the incident on February 2.
Inglis, formerly of Cockburn Drive, Ormiston, admitted the offence when he appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
A plea of not guilty to assaulting his former partner Cynzia Grilli by seizing hold of her hair and forcibly removing her from the property during the same incident was accepted by the Crown.
The 37-year-old will be sentenced on May 23.
