A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a Duns man who severely injured his brother by striking him on the head with a saw.
Mathew Law or Owen was previously placed on a 20-month supervision order and told to carry out 200 hours unpaid work after pleading guilty to a charge of assault to permanent disfigurement at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
But he breached the terms of his Community Pay Back Order which was imposed as an alternative to custody.
However Owen, 28, failed to appear when the case recalled in court and a warrant was granted for his arrest.
The court was previously told how his brother suffered a cut above the eyebrow right down to the bone and a deep scar across his nose and the loss of feeling on the right hand side of his head following the incident at a house in Blinkbonny Gardens, Duns in September 2016.
