A KELSO man has been remanded in custody after allegedly being involved in a disturbance in the town during the Bank Holiday weekend.
Thirty one year old Carl Kirsopp appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court where he faced charges of being in possession of a knife and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner as well as two counts of malicious damage.
He is also accused of police assault at Borders General Hospital.
Kirsopp made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.
Sheriff David Hall refused a motion for bail and Kirsopp was remanded in custody.
He is expected to appear in court again within eight days.
