A 39-year-old man found in possession of drugs in a vehicle on the A7 just north of Galashiels has been ordered to carry out 90 hours unpaid work at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

Lee Turnbull pleaded guilty to having 312 tablets of alprazolam, each worth £1, ecstasy to the value of £150 and up to £400 of a drug which contained cocaine.

The offence happened on the A7 between Galashiels and Stow on December 4, 2017.

Not guilty pleas to stealing a caravan and the reset of another vehicle were accepted by the Crown.

Turnbull of Lousia Square, Rosewell, has three months to carry out the unpaid work as part of a Community Pay Back order.
