EXPECT a Message in a Bottle this weekend to wash up on the shores of the Haining Loch.

And no doubt there will also be some Roxanne, Can't Stand Losing You and Walking on the Moon during a night of Police nostalgia.

Gus and Liz Boyd have built up a huge following with their Police/Sting tribute show.

And, coupled with the delightful setting of The Haining, Friday night's gig should be memorable.

John Nichol from The Haining told us: "If you’re a fan of Sting and The Police, you won’t want to miss this tribute at The Haining on Friday.

"Gus and Liz Boyd hail from Kelso and have a large fan base.

"Their delivery of classic songs from bands like The Police is authentic and flawless."

Albums such as Reggatta de Blanc, Zenyatta Mondatta, Ghost in the Machine and Synchronicity helped The Police become one of the biggest bands in the world at the start of the 1980s.

A string of hit singles, including Everything Little Thing She Does is Magic and Spirits in the Material World, kept them at the top of the charts.

Even after Sting pursued a solo career from the mid 1980s the hits continued with the likes of If You Love Somebody Set Them Free and Russians.

On Friday evening at The Haining, it will be a chance to turn back the clock and relive some of the finest moments from both The Police and Sting.

Tickets for the The Police Sting Show are on sale at the Scott’s Selkirk Shop in Selkirk or online from borderevents and Eventbrite.

The show starts at 8pm.
