BORDERS triple jumper Ellie O'Hara has broken her own Scottish record.
The 16-year-old, fresh from making her senior Scotland debut at Loughborough last month, was competing at the Bedford International Games.
Despite being the youngest competitor in the competition, she jumped well and reached a new best distance of 12.51 metres - increasing her Scottish Under 17s record by five centimetres.
Ellie, who is coached by Linda Nicholson, is supported locally by the Athlete Support Programme and ClubSport Tweeddale.
She will return to the sandpit this week to compete in the Scottish Schools' Athletics Championships.
