A7 closed near Galashiels following crash
A MOTORIST has been charged with driving offences following a crash near Galashiels this morning.
The A7 was closed for more than 90 minutes following the collision near Boleside at around 9.10am.
A passing fire crew tackled flames coming from a Citreon vehicle.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "A male has been arrested in connection with the incident."
The road re-opened at 10.45am.
