A GALASHIELS man has been accused of driving while more than four times the legal alcohol limit after allegedly being involved in a domestic disturbance.
Twenty six year old Lee Burrell appeared from custody and pleaded not guilty to a total of six offences said to have happened at a house in Langlee Drive on Wednesday.
He denied driving with a breath/alcohol count of 90 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22.
Burrell also pleaded not guilty to failing to identify the driver of a car to police, refusing to give a sample of breath, behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, wilfully or recklessly breaking a light covering in a common stair in Langlee Drive and struggling violently with three police constables.
Burrell - who gave an address in Glendinning Terrace - will stand trial on August 29 with an intermediate hearing on August 12.
