A 32-year-old man has been jailed for almost a year after admitting a series of offences at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Scott Morrison, of Torwoodlee Road, Galashiels, had been remanded in custody in connection with several offences They included possession of a class C drug Etizolam and stealing a bottle of whisky from Aldi in Galashiels on April 25.
He had previously admitted assaulting his partner in May and also struggling violently with police officers at Kingsland Square, Peebles, and also Hawick Police Station, and also threatening to break his former partner's jaw in March.
Morrison was jailed for a total of 348 days.
