HE was one of the voices of the 70s - and you can thank your Lucky Stars he's coming to St Boswells Village Hall.

New Jersey-born Dean Friedman has retained a cult following since his stream of hits in the late 1970s.

This week his epic 32-date tour of the UK and Ireland takes him to the Edinburgh Festival for three nights before arriving at St Boswells Live on Saturday.

Last year marked Dean’s 40th anniversary in the music industry, where he celebrated with a sold-out UK tour and the re-release of his digitally remastered, 1978 ground breaking album Well, Well, said the Rocking Chair.

On this latest tour Friedman will be performing solo, on guitar and keyboards, featuring songs from throughout his four decade recording career, including his classic hits Lucky Stars, Lydia, McDonald’s Girl, Ariel and Woman of Mine, as well as selections from his last studio album, 12 Songs.

Doors open for Dean Friedman at St Boswells Live at 7.30pm on Saturday.

Tickets, priced at £20 and £16 for concessions, are available at the Old Post Office in St Boswells or online at Music Glue.

And IF any remain they will be available to purchase on the door on the evening of the concert.
