POLICE and mountain rescue teams were called out last night to search for a missing teenager near Peebles.
A police helicopter was also deployed as the operation continued into the early hours of this morning.
The 14-year-old was eventually located just before 2am in a remote part of Glentress Forest.
And he was taken off the hill without suffering any injuries.
A spokesman for Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue said: "This was a great outcome to what could have been a prolonged search job across a massive area."
