DETAILED plans have been unveiled for converting the former Kelso High School building into extra-care apartments for the elderly.
Eildon Housing and MJ Ballantyne also want to build 47 affordable homes within the grounds of the former Bowmont Street secondary.
Although much of the buildings cluster will be demolished, the original buildings which date back to 1939 will be retained and converted.
A full planning application as well as Listed Building Consent consent application will be considered by Scottish Borders Council over the coming weeks.
