BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a motorist who admitted eight offences, including two counts of dangerous driving.
Kieran Borthwick pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to the offences which happened in High Street, Coldstream, on July 10, and on the A68 in Jedburgh on August 3.
The 24-year-old of Bongate, Jedburgh, admitted having no licence, no insurance, failing to stop when requested by the police and dangerous driving on July 10.
On August 3 he carried out another dangerous driving offence, had no licence and no insurance.
In addition, he pleaded guilty to another charge of failing to reveal the identity of a driver when requested by police at Edenside Court in Kelso on January 3.
Sheriff Valerie Johnston told Borthwick said that due to him pleading guilty to the serious motoring offence of dangerous driving on two occasions, she would be deferring sentence for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report to be prepared.
Sentence was deferred until September 30 and an interim driving ban was imposed.
