A MELROSE pensioner is due to face trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court accused of threatening or abusive behaviour towards his neighbours.
Eric Mitchell, 70, denies the offence said to have happened on numerous occasions between July 5 and August 8 in Eildon Terrace.
It is alleged he engaged in a course of conduct likely to cause his neighbours fear or alarm by making threatening comments, shaking bushes, preventing them from driving a vehicle and placing wheelie bins and rubbish bags in front of their gate.
A trial date has been set for November 19.
