A JEDBURGH man has been accused of being in charge of a car while more than five times the legal alcohol limit.
Christopher Smethurst, 47, of Brucefield House, Rennieston, denies the offence which is said to have happened in High Street, Jedburgh, on June 16.
It is alleged he had a breath/alcohol reading of 119 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22.
A trial date has been set for October 3 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
