A 25-year-old man who admitted two drugs offences has been ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Neil Hardie pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis at his home in South Street, Duns, between May 1 and August 22 last year.
He was also in possession of cocaine in High Street, Coldstream, on August 20 last year.
The court was told that police detected a strong smell of cannabis in the accused's car and found a jar with £50 of notes in it, some small bags, scales and a mobile phone which all indicated drug dealing.
In addition, four grammes of cocaine, with a value of £300, were recovered.
Defence lawyer Maureen Sinclair insisted: "The supply was just for friends of his and was over a short period of time"
In addition to the Community Pay Back order, the £50 in cash was forfeited by the Crown.
