A PIONEERING training project in Galashiels is delighted to have been awarded the Wooden Spoon.
Works+ supports youngsters with a variety of issues towards further education and employment. Last week the charity added a new digital dimension to its operations with the opening of the Wooden Spoon Digital Lab at its Focus Centre premises.
And staff welcomed a different kind of PC to cut the ribbon.
Gala and Scotland rugby legend Peter Brown, better known as PC, is a Scottish National Committee member for The Wooden Spoon Trust, who donated the equipment.
PC said: "It's my absolute pleasure to officially open this fantastic facility, as I know it will be put to such good use by the young people attending Works+."
The lab enables Works+ to support their clients in completing applications and engage in digital communication, as well as producing films and audio recordings to a professional level using industry standard software and equipment.
The young people attending the Works+ project showed off their editing skills to guests during the opening.
And they also allowed guests a sneak preview of a film they are currently making with the National Galleries of Scotland.
