Newtown man denies carrying out Hawick attack
A 38-year-old man will stand trial at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on January 21 on an assault charge.
Adam Murray of Whitefield Crescent, Newtown St Boswells, has pleaded not guilty to striking Sabeel Shafique repeatedly on the head and body to his injury.
The offence is alleged to have taken place in Mart Street, Hawick, on March 25.
