FASHIONABLE knitwear firm Eribé has completed its move to Melrose.

The luxury brand that was born in Galashiels sells in more than 200 prestigious stores in over 20 different countries.

Now, the company has relocated from Netherdale to a new showroom in Dingleton Road at the same time as opening factory premises in Tweedbank.

Founder Rosemary Eribé - a finalist in the 2019 Business Women Scotland awards - hopes to welcome customers old and new to the Melrose Eribé showroom to view the latest range of sweaters, cardigans, hats, gloves and scarves.

Rosemary told us: "It’s been a very special year for Eribé.

"We’re delighted to have moved into our new home in Melrose, and our new factory premises in Tweedbank.

"Now we’d like to share our plans with you – it’s going to be an exciting journey.”

The new Melrose premises, based in a Georgian House on Dingleton Road, opened for the first time on Saturday

Taking centre stage at the opening was the AW19 collection, inspired by Scotland and its spectacular landscape.

The selection of 18 colourways are designed to ensure customers are energised, rejuvenated and confident - whatever their skin tone and eye colour.

Rosemary added: “I love to meet our customers, making sure they feel part of us.

"We design with them in mind.

"We listen to the people who wear our clothes; their feedback gives us joy – and it’s all about the joy of knitwear.

"Do visit us in Melrose – we are all looking forward to showing you our many colours and designs.”

The new showroom will be open throughout November and December from 9am to 5pm on Monday-to-Fridays and 10am-to-3pm on Saturdays.

There is also a Christmas party night planned for Thursday, November 28, between 4pm and 8pm.
