MOTORISTS On the A68 can expect delays later this month as repairs begin on a bridge in Lauder.
Parapet repair work at Washingburn Bridge will take place from 9am to 5pm between Monday, November 18 and Friday, November 22.
The northbound lane will closed each day with traffic lights in place for traffic control on the opposite side of the carriageway.
A spokesman for contractors Amey said: "This scheme will benefit around 7,500 vehicles using this section of the A68 each day, by restoring the bridge parapet, and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
"This scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services, bus operating companies and Scottish Borders Councl."
