A MOTORIST has appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court accused of causing serious injury to two people by dangerous driving.
Adam Sinclair is charged with committing the offence on the A68 road south of St Boswells on the afternoon of August 20.
It follows a two vehicle accident in which a 70-year-old man and a woman, aged 64, were taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment.
Sinclair, who is 36 and from Hexham, Northumberland, also faces a charge of no insurance.
He made no plea and the case was continued for further examination and he was granted bail by Sheriff Gerry MacMillan.
