A 26-year-old man accused of assaulting his partner will stand trial later this month.
Andrew Clamp pleaded not guilty to holding a knife to the woman's throat in Yarrow Terrace, Selkirk, on July 25.
He also denied threatening or abusive behaviour, struggling violently with two police officers and possession of diazepam.
A trial will take place at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on November 26 and Clamp of no fixed abode was remanded in custody.
