A 40-year-old Galashiels man has been accused of stalking a man over a four year period.
Jay Hope of Woodstock Avenue, also faces a second stalking charge involving another man between September and November this year.
He is also charged with threatening and abusive behaviour at a legal firm's offices in Market Street, Galashiels, last Thursday and possession of two knives and later on that day causing a disturbance at Borders General Hospital and Huntlyburn House.
Hope made no plea during a private hearing at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and his case was continued for further examination.
He was remanded in custody by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
