MEMBERS of the public are invited to put themselves forward for the upcoming by-election.
Locals who are currently on the Electoral Register in the Newtown St Boswells & Eildon Community Council area are eligible for nomination.
There are six seats to fill in the Community Council, however, should more nominations be made than there are places on the council, a ballot will be held.
To put yourself forward, nomination forms can be found at Frames Newsagent, Newtown St Bodwells and from Democratic Services in the Scottish Borders Council, Newtown St Boswells. Alternatively, you can download a form from www.scotborders.gov.uk/ccelections
All completed nomination forms should be sent to:

Nominations will close at 12pm on Wednesday, November 27.
