SOUTERS took to the streets of Selkirk on Sunday to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
A large crowd turned out for the annual commemorations, which began with a procession from The Valley to the Parish Church.
It was there where a special service was held to remember the brave Souters who were killed in conflict.
At 11am, the Royal Burgh fell silent at the War Memorial, before the parade marched along The Valley to West Port for the Salute at the Pant Well.
Alistair Pattullo, who is chairman of Selkirk Community Council said: “Well done to David Deacon and everyone else for the excellent organisation of this year’s Remembrance Parade.
“It was well attended and excellent in every way.”
Selkirk High school also held a special assembly on Monday, so pupils could pay their respects.
