Selkirk thief jailed for eight months
A SELKIRK man has been jailed for eight months after admitting stealing from a property in the town.
Gary Stewart pleaded guilty to the slip-in theft which happened in Selkirk on Friday morning.
The 28-year-old also admitted charges of police assault and resisting arrest after appearing at a special custody court hearing at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Monday morning.
