A 37-year-old man will face trial in the New Year accused of committing an armed robbery at a supermarket in the Borders.
Thirty seven year old William Quarry is charged with presenting a knife at a female shop worker, demanding money from her and robbing her of three bottles of whisky and a quantity of cigarettes.
He is also accused of possession of a knife.
The incident is alleged to have happened at the Co-operative store in Roxburgh Street, Kelso, on the night of January 28.
He has pleaded not guilty to both charges and the first diet hearing was continued at Jedburgh Sheriff Court until January 6.
Quarry - who gave an address in Edinburgh - pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by shoplifting at the Meadowbank Retail Park in the capital on April 24 and a breach of bail.
Sentence was deferred on those offences until January 6.
