A PENSIONER has been treated in hospital for a broken leg, cracked ribs and other injuries after being hit by a car in Selkirk yesterday afternoon.
The 71-year-old man was knocked down in Kirk Wynd at around 4.30pm by a silver-coloured Seat.
Police have spoken with the 57-year-old driver of the vehicle.
But they are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
PC Claire White said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this crash to come forward and call us at Selkirk on the 101 number, quoting the reference 2482 of December 5."
