NEXT week Scottish Ballet will return to Peebles for a special masterclass series at Fiona Henderson School of Dance studios.

The masterclass will take place at the studios on Wednesday, December 11 and is open exclusively to senior and adult pupils.

Inspired by The Snow Queen, Scottish Ballet's newest production premieres at Edinburgh's Festival Theatre on Saturday, December 7.

The Snow Queen comes from the story by Hans Christian Andersen and was the inspiration behind Disney's film Frozen.

Scottish Ballet's production is choreographed by Christopher Hampson and designed by the award-winning Lez Brotherston, and is set to music by Rimsky-Korsakov, performed live by the full Scottish Ballet Orchestra.

Fiona Henderson, FHSD School Principal said: "We are absolutely delighted to once again welcome Scottish Ballet to FHSD. Our pupils loved their Scottish Ballet masterclasses last year and we're really looking forward to the Snow Queen inspired workshops next week.

"We're also delighted that they will be running a class for all of our adult Ballet pupils which will be a fabulous experience."
